Piedad Patricia Restrepo Restrepo is an economist from the Universidad de Antioquia, who has a Master’s degree from the Universidad Torcuato di Tella (Argentina). Since 2008, she has been in charge of the private program Medellin Como Vamos. She has experience teaching at the Universidad de Antioquia and EAFit, and has research experience on topics such as the economics of education, public service regulation, and institutional & regional economics from the Center of Economic Research at the Universidad de Antioquia. Her work has been published in national magazines and she has participated in national and international seminars related to scientific outreach.
Medellín Como Vamos is a private inter-agency alliance with the principal objective of evaluating and monitoring the quality of life in the city.  The program works in cooperation with Proantioquia, El Colombiano, La Universidad Eafit, la Cámara de Comercio de Medellín para Antioquia, Comfama, Comfenalco, Casa Editorial El Tiempo, la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá and la Fundación Corona.  The last three entities have been part of Bogota Como Vamos for the past 15 years.
Medellín Como Vamos seeks to promote an effective and transparent government, informed, responsible and participative citizens, and the cooperation between alliances on the topic of quality of life in the city.
