Eugenio Prieto is a public accountant, specialist in electronic journalism, and Master in digital communication with experience in regional and local development. During his public career, he occupied various important public positions, some of which include: Financial Manager of the Antioquian Energy Company (EADE) (1995-1997), Deputy of the Antioquian Assembly (1998-2000), Manager of the Institute for the Development of Antioquia (IDEA) (2001-2006), Governor of Antioquia (April 2002 to December 2003), and Senator of the Republic (2010-2014).
