Ta Corrales is a Costarican and holds a mechanical engineer degree from MIT; she is passionate about the co-creation of a more just and sustainable world. Ta is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Smith Assembly, a company focused on impact based in Vancouver. As an Innovation Practice Affiliate at MIT D-Lab, she has led and facilitated development processes around technology and participative design in over 12 countries. She has patented and published her scientific work on materials chemistry for sustainability and is a member of Global Shapers San José Hub from the World Economic Forum. When Ta is not working, she enjoys dancing to Latin rhythms and riding her bicycle.
