Professor Suh-Yong Chung is Professor at Division of International Studies of Korea University in Korea. and Director of Center for Climate and Sustainable Development Law and Policy (CSDLAP) of Seoul International Law Academy

Professor Chung has extensively worked on governance and institution building on climate change, marine environment, biodiversity and sustainable development amng others by publishing numerous monographs/journal articles and participating in various prestigious conferences internationally. At the professional level, Professor Chung served the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the governing body of new international organization to address climate change, as a Non-state Actor Member in 2014. He was also a Vice Chair of the Compliance Committee of the UN Basel Convention. For the government of Republic of Korea, Professor Chung is a Member of Policy Advisory Board of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was also a member of the Presidential Committee on Green Growth.  Professor Chung holds degrees in law and international relations from Seoul National University, London School of Economics and Stanford Law School. For the academic year 2014-2015, Professor Chung is visiting professor at Sciences Po.
