Mary Louise Higgins is the director of WWF Colombia and the regional representative of the Amazonas Norte/Chocó-Darién Program. Mary Louise has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in entomology from the University of California, Berkeley. She has worked for the government as an environmental specialist for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and as a professor for various academic programs. She has lived in Colombia for 20 years and has worked for WWF Latin America (especially Andean countries) for 23 years.
