Juan is currently the CEO of Global Education X (GeX), a technology company that aims to promote the development and access of knowledge in the world. He is also a co-founder and administrator of the IBSER Foundation, an incubator for social enterprises based on technology, and is part of the advisory group that coordinates the 2050 vision of the state of Antioquia. Juan has been a professor at some of the most important universities in Colombia, a jury member of the MIT Global Challenge and a consultant, researcher and advisor to companies, governments and multilateral organizations on innovation, economic development and entrepreneurship. He studied economics and has an Ms in Finance from Eafit University, and an Ms in Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
