Juan is co-director of Low Carbon City. He is convinced of the power of citizens to make changes in society and has been actively involved in the social sector for more than ten years creating projects involved in urban sustainability, education advocacy and social entrepreneurship.  He has a Master’s degree in Governing the Large Metropolis from SciencesPo, France and a Master in Management from the NEOMA Business School, France. Currently he is a PhD candidate in Politics and Public Administration in the University of Hong Kong. His research interests lie on the areas of collective governance, scaling-up social innovation, and urban sustainability. He has published articles for the Stanford Social Innovation Review and Policy & Politics.
