Systems Engineer of San Buenaventura University with a specialization in Information Management of the University of Medellín, with more than 12 years of work experience, five of them working on issues around Information Systems Management, Intelligence and Business Analytics, Open Data, Smart Cities, and BIG Data among others. Eliana today works in the Mayor’s Office of Medellín as the Coordinator of MEData’s strategy. MEData is one of Medellín’s efforts to become a Smart City. The MEData strategy is based on the premise that the information should be by and for all. MEData is the data strategy of the city of Medellin that seeks to further the appropriation, openess and use of data as a tool for governance, citizen action and decision making.
