Dario Hidalgo is the director of transport for the World Resources Institute (WRI), which works with Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, India, China and Colombia. He has 24 years of experience as civil servant and local and national government advisor on development in Latin America, Asia and Africa. He was assistant director of Transmilenio S.A. and project director of the metro of Bogotá. He is a civil engineer from the Universidad de los Andes and has a Master’s and PhD from the Ohio State University. He believes that we already have the vehicle of the future: the bicycle.
