Ciudad Emergente is a centre of Urban Strategies and Digital Applications. It was founded in 2011 to improve the quality of life in developing cities through high-impact innovative processes.

The Urban “Malón” is one of the citizen-participation strategies created by Ciudad Emergente. It invites neighbourhoods’ inhabitants to meet out on the streets to eat together and get to know each other. This way, the initiative strengthens the community and the confidence between citizens. On the 8th of April 2017, 11400 neighbours met across Chile for the first edition of the Big “Malón”.
