Alejandro Echeverri is an architect from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) de Medellín, who has a PhD in urbanism from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB). He was a professor and director of the Architectural Group at UPB (2001-2003) and a visiting professor in urbanism at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (1999-2000). He was also a visiting professor and judge of various competitions in different architectural institutions and schools at the national and international level. He was general manger of the Company of Urban Development (EDU) of Medellín (2004-2005) and director of Urban Projects of Medellín (2005-2008). He is currently the director of urbam-EAFIT.T.
