In alliance with EcoCityBuilders and the EAFIT University we started a course of urban metabolism and citizen participation to build sustainable cities.
Urbinsight is a next-generation data analysis framework designed for participatory mapping and planning processes. Driven by a bottom-up, community-centered approach, it provides engaged citizens with the know-how, tools and technology necessary to explore, understand, and measure the physical, social, and ecological conditions of their own neighborhoods.
Educated and empowered by their involvement in the data collection and visualization process, participants not only provide their municipalities with unique on-the-ground insights but they become active stakeholders in shaping their city’s move toward increased resiliency and local self-reliance.
