Manuel Rodriguez Becerra He is currently a professor in the Management Department at the Universidad de los Andes, where he has served as the Secretary General, Deputy to the Vice-Chancellor, Dean of the Arts & Sciences Department, and Dean of the Management Department. Manuel Rodriguez Becerra He was the prime minister of the Environment in Colombia and the general manager of the National Institute of Renewable Natural Resources and Environment (1990-1994). He twice served as the chair for the United Nations Forum on Forests (1996-1999 and 2004-2005). He was a member of the Global Commission of Forests and Sustainable Development and the World Bank’s Advisory Council on Forest Policies. He is a member of the Advisory Committee Ombudsman of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and a founding member of the Latin American Platform on Climate Change. In 2013, he was selected as one of the 10 best leaders of Colombia, a distinction given by the Fundación Liderazgo of Colombia and the magazine Semana. He is also a columnist of the newspaper El Tiempo and author of numerous publications.
